A late post three hours in the making

Listening to NPR in the car I had a sudden violent urge to maim the Talk of the Nation announcer ( it makes no difference which one ) for laughing when Ted Koppel said that Social Security was no more guaranteed than GM’s pensions (no to mention the certainty that the NYTimes would give a free op-ed to a friend of Rick Wagoner’s ).
